Spotify came looking for 15 animated and still-frame covers representing the spirit of 15 popular music genres found on their platform.

Most of the time in the broad world of production art, timelines are tight and it’s necessary to learn to economize to make the best work possible as efficiently as possible. But sometimes a special project comes along that allows for indulgent, unfettered exploration and joyful creative rambling.

This is that second kind of project.
